As stated in the changelog the artifacts are gone with this version, but since the update my second monitor has some quite annoying backlight flickering.
I can confirm this, exactly the same issue. Two monitors DP, the second one had the issue with artifacts, this is fixed in version 525.89.02, but this display started going to black screen (flickering - black screen for about 3s and then image is back, repeated in minutes, tens of minutes)
Another report of this issue:
HP Fury 15 G7, Quadro RTX 3000 and HP Thunderbolt dock G4, 3 displays (HDMI, DP, DP, all FHD 60Hz)
- HDMI display works only, both DP displays are off, but still visible/enabled to system and desktop is extended there
- when HDMI disconnected, only one of DP works, not both together
I am using OpenSuse Leap, previous build of drivers in repository is gone already
(Index of /opensuse/leap/15.3/x86_64)
Previous version 525.85.05 worked without any problem in this setup.
so currently my working place of 3 displays is minimized to 1 display
Please fix this issue as soon as possible, it is very annoying bug.
I’m having the same “screen going on and off” problem after I shutdown my secondary monitor because… of the artifacts that were supposed to be gone… So not only that but the bug that was supposed to be fixed is not…
Honestly with the prices, the Wayland quasi complete incompatibility and these absolutely unacceptable bugs, this is the last Nvidia card I’ll ever buy…
Same issue here:
- Arch Linux
- Kernel 6.1.12
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080
- Driver 525.89.02
Upgraded to 525.89.02-3 and how my Samsung Odyssey G9 (LC49G95T) monitor flickers every couple of seconds and has an occasional intermittent disconnect and reconnect occurring. No issues before the updated driver version. Booted into Win 11 with the same monitor and can confirm there are no issues there so it is not the display.
