Flickering screen on Ubuntu 24.04 on only one monitor

I have 2 monitors - 1080p Dell and 4k Samsung. I have NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080. NVIDIA Driver Version is 550.120. NVML Version is 12.550.120.

There is flickering occuring, but only on 4k monitor. It also happens if I change resolution to 1080. My other monitor is fine. Everything is fine with HDMI cable and this monitor (with dual boot on Windows there are no issues).

Besides flickering there is also a small delay in things appearing on screen / laggy mouse cursor.

Things I have tried:

  • setting different refresh rate (current is 60Hz).
  • install drivers with sudo ubuntu-drivers autoinstall.
  • change to Wayland and back to X11 and issue.
  • disable power saving for HDMI
  • different kernel sudo apt install linux-generic-hwe-22.04 `
  • reinstalled Ubuntu.

All these steps have not fixed the issue.

Do you know what else I can try?

Some info:

$ lspci | grep VGA
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GA102 [GeForce RTX 3080 Lite Hash Rate] (rev a1)

There may be also one thing related. After I turn off ubuntu and boot into Windows, only for the first time there is a crashed screen -

If I reboot again, everything is fine.
