EVGA GeForce 960 gtx causing screen to flicker on Xubuntu 16.04

Hello, I’ve been having an issue with my graphics card causing my screen to flicker. I’ve diagnosed it to the card and I think it has something to do with the rendering of colors which causes my screen to go blank for a few seconds at random but sometimes is a constant flicker. It’s as though my screen keeps reseting itself.

I use a Vizio d40u-d1 for my monitor, I run 3840x2160 at 30hz. My drivers version is 367.35.

I’ve tolerated this issue for the past 2 months and it’s been really getting on my nerves to the point where I may just go buy a new Seiki 42" UHD like the one I have at my office but I don’t want to give up just yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
