Bump.

What about WebGL and OpenGL in X11 in overall. Is it under consideration to be fix soon? As it’s still broken in 565.

I have enabled this variable on my AW3423DW and after a poweroff and boot up the system. My monitor cannot detect output from DP nor HDMI (black screen or my monitor would enter Standby Mode) when I login into my Wayland session, it doesn’t happen when I login into X11 though . Thats disabled by KDE. You need to enable it manually with environment variable.

Looks like you ran into the reason they turned HDR off by default on nvidia, which is that logging in while HDR is enabled may result in no signal on certain monitors. The bug report page mentions a possible temporary workaround, which is to keep HDR off when you log in / log out and only turn it on once you’ve logged in and are in session, but it’s said to be a driver issue so hopefully it gets resolved in a future release.

For some monitors/TVs HDR is not properly saturated, but on my Gigabyte M27Q starting with this version of driver the opposite happened.

In plasma 6.2 when I enable HDR - the SDR content is oversaturated to a point when I see chromatic abberation on fonts. The saturation slider in settings does nothing.

It’s possible that your monitor has been compensating for kwin previously not working by applying it’s own gamut scaling (perhaps something like an sRGB mode in your monitor’s picture settings), so now it would be over-saturating since it isn’t needed. When you have HDR enabled, take a look in your monitor’s OSD under picture settings and make sure it’s set to Standard or some other flat setting. Edit - missed that the slider doesn’t do anything, the above might still apply but that sounds like a kwin issue.

FYI, yeah it’s fixed in Dev now, sort of.
Game started in high graphics settings, when I changed to Very high the game wants to restart. After the restart the vertex explosions were there again. So I quit the game and restarted it again, and the vertex explosions were gone again (?).

Something to consider for the next release perhaps.

Thanks, other modes did not change the result sadly. Found it to be refresh rate related. Everything over 120hz is causing oversaturation and oversharpening (on DP, HDMI exhibited problems on anything over 60hz)

Same with lazer for me on kde/wayland, it used to crash a few seconds later now its instant.

Intermittent system freezing still happens when multiple monitors are connected to a system using PRIME offloading and a Vulkan application is running, on both X11 and Wayland.

Any update on handling this issue would be appreciated; several workflows are broken by this bug.

Glad to report it fixed a huge issue with Unreal Engine.

Oh boy, where do I start.
Well first of all, as I already mentioned in the previous response, the Unreal Engine crash has been fixed, which is a huge thing, good job for doing that, I am truly thankful.

However, the performance impact is just unreal.
I’ll attach a video showcasing several games, all running under xwayland, performing poorly.
To be specific, a huge performance downgrade happens as you scale the game resolution up, as shown in the video.
This also applies to Unreal Engine.
Oddly enough, Firefox, Vesktop and CS2 don’t seem to be affected by this.
However, CS2 performs significantly worse compared to 560, as seen in the video, I think.

Another huge thing is Chromium straight up not displaying page content.

Dev is still based on 550 so you don’t have the features of 565 or 560.

hopefully nvidia team an find the issue from here. I also gave exact repro steps to them a few months ago however they never got back to me. same with the spider-man vram leak.

I’ve just updated to version 565 and i got regression like before in a past version. My first monitor connected using DVI shows a black screen while second one is fine. Using 560 version all works fine. I’m using Nvidia 970 and CachyOS. Both monitors connected using the 2 DVI ports.

This is what is happening to me. A black screen and the monitor goes to disconnect mode.

Like it was not connected. I would need to go back to any other previous version for it to work.
