570.86.16 Linux driver breaks HDMI output when adaptive sync is enabled

My guy many distributions are. Nobara and Bazzite , cachyOS etc.

Nvidia hadn’t released an official release driver in a very long time. It’s all been bets and new feature branch drivers for months on end.

So I’m allowed to be annoyed about the driver situation

Like how Nvidia drivers still don’t play nice with gamescope and xwayland is STIKL a ■■■■ show

I don’t know what to tell you man. Beta is beta. Those niche distros jumped the gun. I get that you’re frustrated, I am affected by the issue too on my LG C2. Doesn’t change the fact that Nvidia has explicitly marked it as not stable.

On my Arch box, I reverted to the 565 drivers which still work fine even with the latest updates.

Be nice if VRR can be nailed down with HDMI2.1.

LG C4 OLED is my test display and with VRR you get blanking happening which is pretty bad.

Can confirm that VRR works over HDMI 2.1 again with the new 570.124.04 drivers!

I only have one display though so I can not test the multi-monitor use case.

Can also confirm issue resolved with new drivers under Nobara on LG C4 144Hz
