About setup animation scp command

As in the case of videos, you can not copy files without being able to connect with the host PC and Xavier. Here is the result:
$ scp sample_egomotion nvidia@10.31.174.157: / home / nvidia / drive-t186ref-linux / samples
ssh: connect to host 10.31.174.157 port 22: Connection timed out
lost connection

I asked a question before, but I am in trouble without being able to solve it.
Do I need to connect my host PC and Xavier with an Ethernet cable?

By the way, I connected the host PC and Xavier to the Debug port via USB.

Dear s18,

The video is for reference so not available the ip address in your side.
So you need ethernet connection between DriveAGX and hostPC. Thanks.

When connecting a host PC and Xavier directly with an Ethernet cable, which port of Xavier should I connect?

Dear s18,

Could you please try to connect and test 1G Ethernet port of DriveAGX? Thanks.

Host PC <-Ethernet cable-> Dual Gbe Dongle <-HSD Cable-> Xavier (1 Gbps port)
I made the above connection.
I can not get an ip address.

Dear s18 & kyung83,

Could you please refer to below link for ethernet setting?

https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/1056261/general/ethernet-connection-for-drive-agx/

I referred to the URL but I could not solve it.

The following router not connected to the Internet was added between the host PC and Dual Gbe Dongle.
Host PC <-Ethernet cable-> ★ Router <-Ethernet cable-> Dual Gbe Dongle <-HSD Cable-> Xavier (1 Gbps port)

I tried to find an ip address with Xavier using ifconfig -a. Which item should I look at? Is it good with the ip address of eth0 if it is this item?
・ Can 0-00
・ Can1-00

Dear s18,

This is my case(Host PC <-Ethernet cable-> DriveAGX(100Mbps 1&2 port), could you please refer to below setting and test? Thanks.

HOST PC
$sudo ifconfig enp0s25 10.0.0.15 netmask 255.255.255.0

DriveAGX
$sudo ifconfig eth0 10.0.0.16 netmask 255.255.255.0

HOST PC test.txt file → DriveAGX.
$sudo scp test.txt nvidia@10.0.0.16:/home/nvidia/Downloads/

I tested it in the same environment. (Host PC <-Ethernet cable-> DriveAGX (100 Mbps 1 & 2 port))
However, I could not solve it.
The following shows the current situation.

HOST PC
$ sudo ifconfig enp0s25 10.0.0.15 netmask 255.255.255.0

In my PC enp0s25 → enp110s0
I checked the part of 10.0.0.15 with ifconfig, but the host PC’s IPv4 address and netmask are not displayed. IPv6 is displayed.

Drive AGX
$ sudo ifconfig eth0 10.0.0.16 netmask 255.255.255.0

eth0 10.0.0.16 had the same settings.
It was netmask 255.255.255.0 → 255.0.0.0

HOST PC test.txt file-> DriveAGX.
$ sudo scp test.txt nvidia@10.0.0.16: / home / nvidia / Downloads /
→ I can not do it.

When connecting PCs with an Ethernet cable, does the Ethernet cable need to be a crossover cable?

Dear s18,

Could you please make sure if the connection is correct with below steps?

Host PC
$ifconfig -a
→ Should have 10.0.0.15 IP address
$ping 10.0.0.16

DriveAGX(Has 10.0.0.16 IP address)
$ifconfig -a
→ Should have 10.0.0.16 IP address
$ping 10.0.0.15

HOST PC test.txt file-> DriveAGX.
$ sudo scp test.txt nvidia@10.0.0.16: / home / nvidia / Downloads /
→ I can not do it.
→ Could you please upload the log info when you run above command? Thanks.

Once again, I set it up as I received the previous advice.

HOST PC
$ sudo ifconfig enp110s0 10.0.0.15 netmask 255.255.255.0

Drive AGX
$ sudo ifconfig eth0 10.0.0.16 netmask 255.255.255.0

Dear s18,

From the log, I think you didn’t setup properly.
So could you please help to re-check the setup on your side?

Below is my host PC environment and log.
