Activating ECC error correction on RTX 2060 Super

Dear community,

we recently own a RTX 2060 Super in our research group and wonder, how to activate The ECC Error correction of the GPUs RAM. We are using Ubuntu 18.04 64 bit for our project and need to be sure that there is no RAM flipping. We will use CUDA for GPU cores as well as TPUs.

When we try to activate the ECC with nvidia-smi -e 1 we get the output

ECC features not supported for GPU 00000000:01:00.0.
Treating as warning and moving on.
All done.

Consumer GeForce type cards don’t have ECC memory. Only Quadro/Tesla models support that.
