I’m an Adobe CS5 professional to be and i’m currently looking for a new computer systeem with maximum support for the Adobe Creative Suite 5.
On my search i came across this page:
which states that the following graphic cards are Adobe CS5 certified
NVIDIA Quadro and GeForce GPUs are designed
to boost performance of Adobe Creative Suite 5.
The following solutions are certified by Adobe
for use with Premiere Pro CS5:
Quadro FX 5800
Quadro FX 4800
Quadro FX 4800 Mac
Quadro FX 3800
GeForce GTX 285
I’m a student so i don’t have that massive of a budget. I already have 3 professional screens for video editing, so a triple head workstation is a must. Therefore i would pick 2 GeForce GTX 285’s, because i can afford that.
BUT, the same page also says:
NVIDIA QUADRO. BUILT FOR PROFESSIONALS
Create with confidence using NVIDIA Quadro.
Meet the tightest deadlines and most stringent budgets using Quadro graphics solutions, built for professionals. Quadro GPUs offer faster performance with superior image quality and provide a fully integrated and optimized workflow across the spectrum of Adobe Creative Suite 5 applications.
Exclusive Quadro Features

faster playback with HDV videos – enabling fast iterations for real-time editing decisions.*
Work with extremely large video files in Premiere Pro, such as 2K, 4K or RED footage; and

projectors, with Quadro solutions.**

This is clearly about the Quadro product line.
Does this mean i will miss out on the above listed funktionalities if i go for the GeForce ?
Thank’s in advance ! Looking forward to an answer :)
