how to fix it? pls help

Could you share the step of your driver package installation?

my installation steps:

  1. i download the jetson nano developer kit SD Card image and write it on sd card. Image link has taken from Getting Started With Jetson Nano Developer Kit | NVIDIA Developer

  2. run the jetson nano with the sd card.

  3. make network setup (wifi dongle detected automatically) and login/password setup at first login

  4. open terminal and write “apt-get update”, result shown in my first message.

how i try to solve the problem:

  1. i tried to clean apt hash by
sudo apt-get clean
sudo mv /var/lib/apt/lists /tmp
sudo mkdir -p /var/lib/apt/lists/partial
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update
  1. i tried to delete and than get new signature 3B4FE6ACC0B21F32, i tried to update the signature by
sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys 3B4FE6ACC0B21F32
  1. i tried to take new sd card and made all steps with new sd card, result is the same.

  2. I searched reason of “Hash Sum mismatch” error, but couldn’t find answer that worked for me.

We will try to repro this issue on our side. In the meantime, would you minding trying sdkmanager?

If sdkmanager could work, it may indicate the package on download center has some problem.

Hi mnemonik,

Please try below command then install python3-pip again.

sudo add-apt-repository universe
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install python3-pip

sdkmanager? as i understand this program doesn’t exist on sd-card?

~$ sdkmanager
bash: sdkmanager: command not found

i tried, but it doesn’t help

~$ sudo add-apt-repository universe
'universe' distribution component is already enabled for all sources.

and same errors on update command.

as i think, something wrong with apt-get?

Hi,

sdkmanager(jetpack) is a tool on your desktop host. You could install it from our website.

sdkmanager should automatically install the same rootfs as what you did on your sdcard.
Normally, you could install it from either sdkmanager or using the package from our download center.

I just suspect there are some problem when you dealt with the package.

I have found reason of errors! ) A have problem with MT7601 wifi adapter) I have started download by wget sdk manager and have seen ssl3 errors. It lead me to conclusion that something wrong with wifi drivers. Via ethernet everything works perfectly
WayneWWW, carolyuu - thanks so much for help!

For a “first boot and configure” for a new Jetson Nano 2G, (Jetpack 3.5), I encountered the same “unable to install python3-pip” problem and also discovered incomplete apt-update and apt-upgrade runs, using the NVidia supplied USB WiFi adapter. As suggested, using an Ethernet cable to connect to my network and the internet solved the problem. Anybody suggest why? Are updated WiFi device drivers required? The WiFi connection seems to work for ordinary browsing.

Hi phreddog24,

Please help to open a new topic if it’s still an issue.

Thanks
