According to all I could find for Thor there is no mention of NVENC supporting AV1 encode, only AVC, and HEVC.
Was support for it dropped, if yes is there any reason behind it?

The AV1 encoder is removed in hardware. Would suggest use H264 or H265 encoder.
What is the reasoning behind removing the encoder?
