[BUG Report] 580.105.08 Monitor Freeze when Resuming from sleep or waking up monitors (3 Monitor setup, Cachyos Plasma))

Hello, I’m reporting here as instructed in the logs, when resuming from sleep or waking up screens after they go dark (by moving the mouse or hitting the keyboard), I get, seemingly at random, a whole system freeze, that can only be recovered through a hard reboot (power button press).

I had to disable sleep because it happened much more often when resuming from sleep that when simply waking screens, so this report is based on the waking up screen issue only

What happens :

  • PC is left unattended for some time and screens go dark as per the settings in KDE
  • Come back later and wake up monitor through moving the mouse, sometimes it works as expected (no crash), sometimes, monitor seem to wake up (power light indicates that it has a signal), some monitors get the latest image that was displayed, or a weird half loaded version (mostly black), and the last monitor stays blank
  • About 5 seconds later, one monitor goes to no signal while the others stay frozen
  • I have to reboot

In the logs I get the following error

déc. 05 19:58:33 Cadmium kwin_wayland[4010]: Pageflip timed out! This is a bug in the nvidia-drm kernel driver
