Can I connect Jetson Orin NX 16 board to Xavier NX carrier board

Hi,

Can I connect Jetson Orin NX 16 board to Xavier NX carrier board ?

As per migration guide from Xavier NX to Orin NX module, expecting few interfaces may NOT work and I am okay with that.

Apart from missing of few interfaces , I want to know whether there is NO electrical shorting/clashing happens with plugging Jetson Orin NX 16 board in to Xavier NX carrier board .

Please confirm .

Jetson Orin NX & Jetson Orin Nano series modules are not pin-compatible with Jetson Xavier NX series modules, but you can design a carrier board for the I/Os they have in common, such that both modules are supported.

Yes. I am planning to make single carrier board to support both Xavier NX and Orin NX modules common interfaces.

Also planning to use development board of Xavier NX carrier board as reference .

Please confirm whether I can use all peripherals ( USB PD controller, Power regulators, MCU etc. ) in development Xavier NX carrier board to support Jetson Orin NX SO-DIMM module also ?
