Can I install and activate Subnet Manager on NVOS with Q3400-RA XDR switch?

I am recently testing CX8 HCA with a Q3400-RA XDR InfiniBand switch, I found the new switch comes with new NVOS that designed for InfiniBand, it is cool. However, it looks like many functions and features for controlling or managing InfiniBand fabric have been removed, the switch cannot be used like a MLNX_OS InfiniBand switch, which brings inconvenience.

I wonder if it is possible to install and run Subnet Manager on Q3400-RA, or does it have to have a UFM server running in the fabric? I tried to install OpenSM via the NVOS default source list, it came with a OpenSM package, but it doesn’t seem work well in my very simple switch-to-hca point to point test environment. I am just not sure if it is proper way to install and configure subnet Manager.

At this time, NVOS supports Fabric Manager but not Subnet Manager. Fabric Manager and Subnet Manager are different in that Fabric Manager manages a specific NVLink cluster, and Subnet Manager manages an L2 fabric. UFM or a dedicated server would be needed for SM in XDR.
