Cant seem to find nvcc!

hi,
I’m using Ubuntu 10.04. I downloaded the CUDA SDK,CUDA toolkit and the NVIDIA driver that applies for 10.04. (the 3.2 RC toolkit)
I’ve installed everything properly. But when I type “nvcc -V” to check the version of the NVIDIA compiler it says the command is not recognised! I’m new to Unix based OSs. Can anybody tell me how to go about? Also, how do i execute CUDA programs?

solved it! hadnt assigned environment variables!! and dissapointed that there was no reply to my query!!
