Here are the details for my laptop:
Windows 10 Home
GeForce GTX 970M
And I have the following installed:
Visual Studio 16.11.5
When I was using CUDA 11.3 and Visual Studio 16.9.6, I was able to use the Legacy CUDA Debugger and it worked fine. Now that I’ve updated, whenever I try to debug, I get the following error from Nsight:
A CUDA context was created on a GPU that is not supported by the legacy CUDA debugger. Breakpoints will be disabled. See output window for details. Adapter: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M Please see: https://developer.nvidia.com/nsight-visual-studio-edition-supported-gpus-full-list#SupportedComputeConfigs
I navigated to the link the error message provided and found the following:
This chart suggests that my card (Maxwell architecture) should still be supported by the Legacy debugger.
Why can I no longer debug after the update?
