Clarification conserning T600 Laptop graphics clock

Hello Colleagues,

I’ve T600 Laptop GPU which report maximum graphics clock 2100 MHz. I have an issue that this GPU can run only on 1440 MHz or 770 MHz and never reach value higher than 1440. GPU temperature with low loaded CPU 65-70 C. Could you please help me to run GPU on specified 2100 MHz clock?

Best regards,
Yuriy.

Please post the output of
nvidia-smi base-clocks

Sure, please take a look:

$ nvidia-smi base-clocks
GPU 0:
	Graphics: 	780MHz

UPD: Quadro M1200 GPU works perfectly fine, reported clocks are equal to real clock:

~$ nvidia-smi -q | grep -B 3 MHz
    Clocks
        SM                                : 1150 MHz
--
    Max Clocks
        SM                                : 1150 MHz

Quadro M1200 base clock is:

GPU 0:
	Graphics: 	993MHz

Issue observed only on T600 GPU 1470 != 2100:

$ nvidia-smi -q | grep -B 3 MHz
    Clocks
        SM                                : 1470 MHz
    Max Clocks
        SM                                : 2100 MHz

T600 base clock is:

$ nvidia-smi base-clocks
GPU 0:
	Graphics: 	780MHz

For Turing and newer, Max Clocks displayed by nvidia-smi is more or less just a theoretical value. Always 2100 for Turing/Ampere, 3105 for Ada. You won’t be able to reach those. For a T600, the boost clocks are about 1400MHz.
