First I change the GPU mode to "Graphics" and install the driver 367.43 to vSphere 6.0 Update 2.
And Add the GPU "grid_m60-1q" to virtual machine (Windows 7) and powered-on.
But just couldn’t install the driver 369.17 to Windows 7 (x64).
My Chinese isn’t very good, so I’m not able to read the Nvidia error message within Windows :-) Everything else looks fine though.
When you install the Nvidia driver in Windows, it scans to see if there is an appropriate GPU present in the system before installing. Can you have a look in Device Manager to make sure the system has detected the vGPU. If there is no appropriate GPU present or it isn’t detected, the driver install will error and fail.
If you can "Show Hidden Devices" and take a screenshot of what you can see, that would be great.
Where did you download the driver package (including vGPU Manger for the Tesla card)? Be aware that this is a software package that needs licensing and therefore must be downloaded from the GRID software portal:
Can you please run nvidia-smi from a host shell to see if the vGPU manager is installed properly?
Actually, the promble was I use the UltraISO, let the driver(*.exe) make a new iso file and mount to Virtual Machine and copy the file to the desktop…My bad :P
I’ve just installed the vib for vGPU on vSphere 6.5 and after eventually figuring out the Share Direct issue and not able to power on the VM, I can’t seem to load the Driver on a Wins 7 64 bit VM.
When Setup.exe is ran it can’t detect the vGPU? Any help would be appreciated. I’ve tried v369.49 that came with the esxi6.5 download and also tried v378.49 to no avail.
I have noticed in Device Manager that the vGPU is not detected.
not sure what you referencing to but both drivers stated above are wrong. You need to download the GRID package from https://nvidia.flexnetoperations.com and install the correct vGPU manager/driver bundle for your hypervisor. Current GRID package should have vGPU manager: 367.92 and driver: 369.95
Only the given combinations will work!!!
Simon, I think the confusion for me was brought about by the NVidia horizon 7 deployment guide talking about a VIB that should have vGPU in the title. Having searched for vsphere 6.5 drivers on the NVIDIA site, the only vib avail is NVIDIA-Keplar-VMware_ESXi Host Driver 367.64-1OEM.650.0.0.424-417.
I’ve installed this on my K2 ESXi host and configured a VM to use Shared PCie vGPU. It powers on ok, takes the native vgPU drivers and powers on; view agent and dc plug installed ok but when I connect over pcoip using zero client it connects to the VMs desktop but blinks to black screen at approx1Hz.
