I’ve got an issue with a games sometimes crashing when playing them in Steam with Proton / DVXK / Vulkan (Mortal Kombat 11 in the instance below).
The error message I’m receiving is:

- I’m using nvidia-drivers-450.66
- I’m using a MSI / NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1070
- I’m using kernel 5.7.17.
- I’m using Proton-5.9-GE-5-ST
The entire system does not crash. It’s just the game that crashes. I’m able to go to my second monitor, open the Activity Monitor and kill MK11.exe. The whole system stops responding for a few seconds and after it’s usable again.
