Hi there,
I am looking to power some external sensors from the 3.3V Pin (Pin 1) of the 40pin header on a Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit: an STM32, a BNO055 IMU, an LED and some additional PWM ICs.
Overall, about a 200mA-500mA load.
Is this fine? There is conflicting info in the carrier board pdf as to whether Pin 1 is an input or output power, and the current it can provide…:
This says input:
but this shows output:
Additionally, this shows 5.4A
but this says 0.1A
Table 3-3 should be output instead of input. Figure 5-1 correctly shows the VDD_3V3_SYS rail as an output. Thank you for pointing out the error in the table.
The 5.4A specified for VDD_3V3_SYS in Table 5-2 accounts for all consumers of the rail on the Dev Kit board, not the 40-pin expansion connector alone. The 100mA budgeted for VDD_3V3_SYS on the 40-pin expansion connector in Table 5-3 is correct, so it will not be possible for the VDD_3V3_SYS pins on that connector to support the load needed on your setup.
