DGX-Spark – NVMe Drive Not Detected (“No NVMe Device Found”)

Hi,

About a month ago I purchased a DGX-Spark, and after only a few days of use, the system began showing the message “No media found” and booting directly into the BIOS. Under Advanced → NVMe Configuration, it displays “No NVMe Device Found” (see attached image).

I opened a support ticket almost a month ago, but the issue remains unresolved. Support mentioned they need confirmation on whether the problem is due to an NVMe drive failure or something else that could be tested beyond firmware or BIOS updates.

The rescue USB also fails to detect any NVMe device, so I cannot access or verify the drive from there either. The system has not been modified in any way — no OS or driver changes have been made beyond the official updates automatically received by the DGX software stack.

Is there any definitive method to confirm if this is a hardware fault (e.g., NVMe module failure or slot issue) given that both the BIOS and recovery environment fail to recognize the drive? Any diagnostic procedure or verification step beyond what I have already tried would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance — we have been waiting for a month without a clear resolution, and any guidance to expedite confirmation or replacement would be very helpful.

Best regards,
Victor

@aniculescu I am having the exact same issue with a new DGX Spark as vcalzado. Where should I open a support ticket for this?

Hi @stephen.hankinson, please open a case with my colleagues at NVIDIA Customer Support Resources

Thanks, opened with reference number 251212-000525 including screenshots.
