Just installed latest Ubuntu 25.04 with Kernel 6.14 and nVidia beta 575.51.02 drivers. AWII with PT is still like only 50% of the windows performance. 25 FPS instead of ~50 without FG and all maxed on my 4070-ti. Power draw is just 180 watts max…super disappointing!

I’ll try it! Mangohud shows VKD3D, but it is easy to overlook it. 2.14.1 it is.

Similar to my post on Expedition 33: there is a patch for Alan Wake 2 that makes it render in pure Vulkan (mangohud then shows “VK”). Would you like to test it? Also with VK there may be a need to use the envvar to avoid a bug when using RT/PT: __GL_13ebad=0x1 but this is only needed for some games …

I just made another Alan Wake II comparison Windows 11 vs. Ubuntu 25.04 with 575 drivers. Interestingly it seems to be RT and PT who are causing issues. Raster seems to perform equally.
