I am using a RTX A5000, and since the latest drivers (572.16-quadro-rtx-desktop-notebook-win10-win11-64bit-international-dch-whql) I have a distorted screen when I login to windows. It is only on my 4k BENQ monitor (PD2700U), my Dell FHD is fine. It scared the hell out of me thinking the BENQ had died, but when I enable HDR it is ok again. Also when I disable HDR again.
Same issue with 572.60-quadro-rtx-desktop-notebook-win10-win11-64bit-international-dch-whql, so reverted back to 553.62-quadro-rtx-desktop-notebook-win10-win11-64bit-international-dch-whql.
Anybody has the same issue?
Hey, I just reverted to 553.62, turned on HDR, installed 572.60 - display did not corrupt. Shut off HDR, seem to be still working fine. Try and see if this procedure helps.
Edit - spoke a bit too soon. After restarting windows, display comes back corrupted. Cycling HDR on and off fixes it.
I would keep HDR on, but it makes all the colors on my display bleek.
No idea how to submit a bug report, came here looking for help and saw your post. Are you saying the problem does not happen with a different monitor? I assume the different monitor does not have HDR support? I was considering bringing another monitor from my office to test out.
With HDR, If I cycle it, the fix is only temporary. Launching a game distorts the screen again, restarting windows distorts display, so I went back to the 553.62 driver.
It would be nice if we could rule out that it’s hardware related, so are you using also a BENQ monitor, maybe even the p2700U? My other monitor is a DELL P2419HC, which doesn’t support HDR.
Thanks. HDR is definitely one of the culprits, but there is something else going on as well. I have a similar setup in the office - RTX4000 on Dell P3222EQ (non HDR), and upon installation of drivers newer than 553.62 the 2d screen rendering is very slow - the screen is tearing when scrolling. There are definitely issues with the last 2 sets of drivers, and there is no obvious way to report the issues. Back in the days nVidia had separate sets of drivers for their professional line of cards vs mainstream gaming cards, now its all combined and I’m not sure they even pay much attention to the professional cards.
