DRIVE OS 5.2.6 and Sensor Abstraction Layer

Since DRIVE OS 5.2.6 does not have any version of DriveWorks yet:

DriveWorks 4.0 will be available late summer 2021.

  • DriveWorks 4.0 is only compatible with DRIVE OS 5.2.6 and will not work with DRIVE OS 5.2.0, or DRIVE Software 9.0 or 10.0.
  • DriveWorks 3.5 is only compatible with DRIVE OS 5.2.0 and will not work with DRIVE OS 5.2.6 or DRIVE Software 9.0 or 10.0.

DRIVE OS 5.2.6 does not have the Sensor Abstraction Layer (part of DriveWorks) to access cameras.

What is the recommendation if we need to access cameras? Should we stick with an older version of DRIVE OS and use DriveWorks 2.2/3.5?

Or is it possible to access cameras directly through DRIVE OS 5.2.6 without DriveWorks?

Hi @sleff,

NvMedia SIPL Framework is available on DRIVE OS and there are some sample applications (e.g. nvsipl_camera).
If you choose DriveWorks, you have to use older DRIVE OS or wait for DriveWorks 4.0 (compatible with DRIVE OS 5.2.6).
Thanks.
