Error when booting or when back from hibernation

Hello,

I have 2 wide screen with a nvidia card GeForce GTX 1650 and an open suse tumbleweed system.
One old Samsung screen and one Dell screen (new one) which don’t have a fast response time.

Since lot of time I have a problem when i go back from hibernation or boot, sometime the resolution of my Dell screen is not good, and it fails to work at kde session start.

Since the new nvidia kernel, this happens always (sometime the two screens don’t work either ).

This seems not to happen with nv (legacy) nvidia driver.

here is the nvidia config screen:

here are the logs:
nvidia-bug-report.log.gz (1.8 MB)

Do you have any idea what’s going on ?

That’s a rare bug in the nvidia driver where instead of the monitor’s real edid a fake “NVIDIA” edid is used. Might be connected to g-sync. Already tried using a different cable?

I had the same problem with a previous cable.

For a workaround, you might extract the edid once the monitor is correctly working and then using the “CustomEdid” option to load it from file.

Hello,

I’ll try

Thanks

For those who ask how to do, the link here setting eeid in xorg.conf explains
