Error when flashing new Orin nano Dev Kit from an ubuntu Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS on SDcard

Hi,

we just bought an Orin nano developer kit 8G card and we want to flash the card for the first time (using the sdk manager and putting the card in recovery mode). When flashing, we are stuck on a USB error even though the SDK seems to clearly identify the card. Could you give us some insight into the problem? I attach the log to you.

thanks

in addition this is the end of the log on terminal tab :

Hi @rdeborde,
I have seen that error before and got it working when Itried it on the third time, I did a reboot on the Jetson and then got into forced recovery and then try flash again, that a couple of times more and then was able to flash.

Hi @andres.artavia,

Thanks for your reply, when you say i did a reboot on the Jetson, you want to say not in recovery mode but in standard mode ?

thanks,

Yeah, basically do a power cycle and after it powers on, force the recovery mode.
Another thing to try is the manual method using the system image, the guide is here https://developer.nvidia.com/embedded/learn/get-started-jetson-orin-nano-devkit#intro
