Expected Jetpack 5 to Jetpack 6 Upgrade paths

Hi all,

I am looking for some clarity on Jetpack 5 → Jetpack 6 upgrade paths once Jetpack 6 is fully released.

My Understanding is Jetpack 6 will support OTA upgrades but this is just for minor version upgrades?

Is there any remote or OTA upgrade process which could take a Jetson Nano with Jetpack 5 → Jetpack 6? Or will this always require a host system to reflash?

Correct, you won’t be able to OTA update from 5 to 6. You’ll be able to upgrade minor upgrades only. You’ll need to flash (in recovery mode) due to QSPI memory or other memory which contains both the boot code and the equivalent of a BIOS.
