Fedora 29

What steps are necessary to enable Wayland with eglstream and Nvidia with Fedora 29.

I have enabled nvidia modeset and I have the latest nvidia driver.

You need to comment out the gdm nvidia blacklist in /usr/lib/udev/rules.d/61-gdm.rules

The rpmfusion driver also blacklists wayland in /etc/gdm/custom.conf

Huh, how stable is nvidia eglstream with Wayland over GDM? Is it worth switching to now?

It appears to be stable but server glvnd is not active and therfore xwayalnd is very slow with gl games.

Why would you want to run Wayland in the first place? Last time I heard it’s all random bugs and problems all over the place.

I want to test if the new xorg 1.2 and to see if the server side glvnd was working. I have went back to xorg as I need to use glx application.
