Flash Jetpack 5.1.2 stops at 99.5%

Hi,

Guys, I am running SDK manager on Ubuntu 20 to install Jetpack 5.1.2 on Orin NX 16GB.

However, it always stops at 99.5% and never finishes. Here is the error message:

There is a export logs button on sdkmanager GUI… please use that to share log.

The log you just posted is partial and not reveal useful info…

Moreover… the log you just posted is a log to flash Orin AGX… not Orin NX.

Thanks for your reply.

In terms of the button to share the log, do you mean “export debug logs” on the right corner?

Also, it is quite strange that I am installing Orin NX, but you said the log shows Orin AGX. I am really confused.

When your flash got hang, press pause and there would be one under the PAUSE button.

SDK manager seems like it stops working and it is still pausing after 10 mins when I clicked PAUSE.

I have to unplug the cable connecting NX in order to stop the installing process.

Could you please have a look at my log as I am reallllly confused.

Weird. This is still a Orin AGX flash log.

Are you using a NV developer kit or some custom boards from other vendors?

No, I am using SDK manager to install Jetpack for a NX kit.

You can see that in my screenshot Flash Jetpack 5.1.2 stops at 99.5% - #3 by robin_Li

Hi,

I don’t know what is your point to say a “No” here. My question is are you flashing a NV developer kit or a custom board. It is not a yes or no question…
If you don’t know the question, please also tell instead of giving me a “no”…

這邊用中文也講解一下以免沒有看懂… 我的問題是你燒錄的板子是NV developer kit還是一些其他廠商提供的底板… 不太清楚你回我一個No的意思是什麼…
如果看不懂問題也可以說一下…

Sorry, I did not catch your question at first.

I am using a custom carrier board and a NX core board.

In fact, I used the same carrier board and NX core board before and they worked fine, which is one month ago. But today, they become wired and always stops at 99.5%.

I try two different core boards and three different carrier boards: the results are the same

Sdkmanager cannot flash custom board. Are you the board vendor or it is from other vendor?

It is from other vendor and I but them online. The guide provided by the vendor suggests to use Sdkmanager; I tried Sdkmanager and it worked.

By the way, will you think it is a hardware problem, or the custom broad problem? Because Sdkmanager detects it as Orin AGX rather than NX Orin.

You can just try to manually flash first instead of sdkmanager and see what is going on.

https://docs.nvidia.com/jetson/archives/r35.5.0/DeveloperGuide/IN/QuickStart.html

The data here are not sufficient to make any conclusion yet.

BTW, sdkmanager already downloaded the same files to your host PC with location: ~/nvidia. So the first few steps in the document are not needed to run again.

Thanks so much. Let me see what will happen if I flash manually.

May I ask which log can show if I was installing NX (what I thought) or AGX (what you saw)?

   0.0246 ] Pre-processing config: tegra234-mb1-bct-device-p3701-0000.dts
[ 0.0301 ] Pre-processing config: tegra234-mb1-bct-misc-p3701-0000.dts

If this is for Orin NX/Nano, above number would be p3767 but not p3701.

p3701 is Jetson Orin AGX and 3767 is Orin NX.
