Future of VPI & Jetson Nano?

Hello NVIDIA officials and Community members,

As mentioned in the VPI 2.0 release notes, its mentioned that they dropped the support for Jetson Nano & TX2.

So should we just stick on to VPI 1.2 for development?
Why this decision to drop Jetson nano as Vision Works support is also dropped?

Hi @devshank3, please refer to this thread: Jetson Software Roadmap for 2H-2021 and 2022

JetPack 4.6 will be the last major release for Jetson Nano, Jetson Nano 2GB, Jetson TX1, and Jetson TX2 series (Jetson TX2 NX, Jetson TX2, Jetson TX2 4GB and Jetson TX2i) and will also support Jetson Xavier NX and Jetson AGX Xavier series. After JetPack 4.6, the JetPack 4 codeline will transition into a sustaining mode with continued software support via JetPack 4.x releases for security updates and critical bug fixes for all the supported modules mentioned above.

Since JetPack 4.6 is the last major release for Nano/TX2, and VPI 1.2 is the version in JetPack 4.6, Nano/TX2 will stay on VPI 1.2.
