Ghost Of Tsushima now hard freezes within seconds of loading game world. on all 580 Linux drivers

Game used to work flawlessly, doesn’t matter which proton version is used. Only thing that has fixed it was rolling back to 570 driver

This is with a 4080 super on the open driver I have included a proton log

Theres also multiple reports of this issue on protondb across multiple distros

having this exact same issue with 4070 mobile gpu and i7-13650HX. rolling back to 575.64.05
and everything is back to normal. linux 6.16.1-arch1-1

Uh considering there are similar issues being reported about other games concerning the 580 drivers, id argue this issue is driver specific not game specific. And this has always been where I’ve come to report driver issues.

I could understand this sentiment if it was some new game that just didn’t currently work, but it’s a game with a history of running flawlessly that is now completely borked under the current driver.

This issue has been resolved under the latest 580.105.08 driver.
