Headles VNC (VINO) only shows Nvidia logo

I’m working on a Jetson AGX board, that should be headless in the future. But we still wants to be able to connect to it through VNC. I am running JetPack 4.4 (L4T_32.4.3) and have configured the virtual display like this:

$ cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf
Section “Module”
Disable “dri”
SubSection “extmod”
Option “omit xfree86-dga”
EndSubSection
EndSection

Section “Device”
Identifier “Tegra0”
Driver “nvidia”
Option “AllowEmptyInitialConfiguration” “true”
Option “EnableAllGpus” “true”
Option “ForceGenerate” “true”
EndSection

Section “Screen”
DefaultDepth 16
Identifier “Screen0”
Device “Tegra0”
SubSection “Display”
Virtual 1920 1080
EndSubSection
EndSection

Auto-login is configured like this:

$ cat /etc/gdm3/custom.conf
# GDM configuration storage
#
# See /usr/share/gdm/gdm.schemas for a list of available options.

[daemon]
# Uncoment the line below to force the login screen to use Xorg
#WaylandEnable=true

# Enabling automatic login

AutomaticLogin=nvidia

# Enabling timed login
# TimedLoginEnable = true
# TimedLogin = user1
# TimedLoginDelay = 10

[xdmcp]

[chooser]

[debug]
# Uncomment the line below to turn on debugging
# More verbose logs
# Additionally lets the X server dump core if it crashes
#Enable=true

I am using Vino as the VNC server. When I try to connect to the server, the only thing I see is an Nvidia logo, like this.

Does anybody know how to get around this, and get onto the desktop?

please check this page.

Thanks for the reply! I however have setup VNC and have no problems connecting and following the guide did not fix the problem. The problem is, that when i connect i get stuck on a Nvidia logo (maybe the login screen) and cannot do anything, when I am running the machine headless. However when a screen is connected there seams to be no problems. But running it with a screen connected is not an option in the future.

What is the log from vino and xorg.0.log?

This is the output of Xorg.0.log:

It was fixed by reflashing the board with a new image. It seams that somebody had changed something that made the desktop manager never load correctly, thus being stuck at the logo screen previous to that.
