I inherited a SN2100. I used the pin hole to clear the configuration but couldn’t login as admin/admin.
I tried to use Advanced options->Rescue mode but it always terminated load at

So I used grub rw init=/bin/bash to access Debian and now I don’t know what to do.
cat /etc/passwd shows no admin user but a cumulus user.

Does this mean the Onyx is not installed?
How can I check if Onyx is already present?
Is there a link on how I can reinstall if it is missing. Thanks

Hi sirendotus,

It seems that this switch is running Cumulus Linux, not Onyx. You can find the password recovery instructions for Cumulus Linux here but you will need valid support entitlement for this switch in order to change the NOS to Onyx. Please open a support case here for additional information. Be sure to provide the switch SN in the case description. Hope this helps!
