High temp and over current

I run the 22.04 latest installation from SDK Manager of the Deepstream and JP on AGX orin dev kit.
After a while if running inference at Max performance I get two issues.

  1. System throttled due to Over-current.
    "System throttled due to Over-current."
    I have 3 cameras with 5m USB cables. Can this be the problem?
  1. Temperature warning
    I get “Caution - Hot surface. Do not touch.”
    Is this only a warning due to the hot surface of the computer or is it a general concern that the computer may be damaged?
    It happens during long time inference.

Hi magnus.gabell,

Are you using JP6.0GA on AGX Orin devkit?

It seems you get the OC event due to high temperature.
What the power mode you are using?

Yes I run JP6.0GA installed via SDK manager on the Jetson AGX Orin Dev kit.
I run the device on Max Power mode. And using out of the box power supply.

The max temp I casually saw was about 65-70 degrees Celcius.

We don’t suggest using MAX-N power mode(it is an unconstraint mode) in high loading since it may cause OC event easily.
Please create your custom power config for your use case.
