How to configure HDMI, instead of DP, on customized carrier board

Hi Sir,
I am using r36.4.3,.
I would like to configure HDMI on our customized carrier board, instead of DP.

So, I follow the steps according to the online NVIDIA document:

  1. I tried to use dcb_tool to configure dcb stuff, but I can’t find the file “tegra234-dcb-p3701-0000-a02-p3737-0000-a01.dtsi” at DRIVERS or SOURCES, or any similar dtsi file name which contains “dcb” string:

Where can I get the dtsi file ?

  1. Besides using dcb_tool, another step is to modify the spreadsheet(pinmux setting) as below:

However, I compared the generated “Orin-jetson_agx_orin-pinmux.dtsi” after modification with the default one(using DP), and I found they seem to the same. In other words, the change to this DP/HDMI setting seems not effective.

Did I miss any other step ?

Please advise. Thanks.

Jimmy

Please refer to the p3509-a02-p3767-0000.conf. This file includes everything for the enable of HDMI.

Hi Wayne,

  1. dcb_tool:
I found the dtsi file dcb_tool needs.
  2. spreadsheet:
I will work on it and update soon.

Thanks.

Jimmy

Hi Wayne,
The board config file provided by you seems to be for jetson orin nano devkit.
I do compare its pinmux.dtsi with the one of agx orin , but it is difficult for me to figure out where should I notice, since there is so much difference.

I also tried to find the clue with keyword “hdmi” or “dp”, and I found nothing except of hdmi_cec.

I am also pretty sure that modifying spreadsheet seems not to provide any change about HDMI or DP to pinmux.dtsi or gpio.dtsi.

Could you provide more information ? What to expect from pinmux.dtsi or gpio.dtsi, after modifying spreadsheet ?

Many thanks~

Jimmy

Hi,

Go to check the pinmux of Orin Nano there. There is DP version and HDMI version.

Generate both of them and do the diff. And you will see what pin is needed.
