Hi, recently I’ve been trying to replicate the photorealism of Unreal Engine 5 environments in Isaac Sim. I work in field robotics, so photorealistic large outdoor scenes are of interest.
My process so far has been to use the Omniverse USD Exporter Plugin to export my UnrealEngine Level. From what I understand, the Omniverse Exporter bakes UE materials into textures? Then these textures are loaded in Isaac Sim? It seems that the environment always looks less photorealistic in Isaac Sim, I think because of this material degradation process. However I saw that Omniverse has its own material workflow? Is it better to try and re-create materials in Omniverse? What’s the best practice for getting photorealistic environments in Isaac Sim?
