How to set Temperature Limit in linux - 1080ti

Hello folks

I need to set the temperature limit of a 1080ti board, i don’t know how to do this with nvidia-settings since GPUSlowdownTempThreshold is read only

could be possible do this limiting any other parameter? the point is avoid >65C temperatures (but it can be a bit high for some time while gpu slow down and temperature drop a bit)
