Hello,
My project requires Cuda 10 with nvidia driver 410, my computer is Dell 7080 MT I7-10700, after installing Nvidia 410 driver the computer cannot reboot and I must purge Nvidia to reboot ,
otherwise I’m stuck with black screen(photo attached).
same with driver 430. the only driver that works is 460, but I couldn’t find any way to install cuda 10 with driver 460.
Just install ‘cuda-toolkit’ instead of ‘cuda’.
This will skip the bundled driver so you can use another one.
Se this for the meta packages:
https://docs.nvidia.com/cuda/cuda-installation-guide-linux/index.html#package-manager-metas
cuda 10 works accordingly.
hey, I need to download specifically cuda 10, when I have tried to install cuda tool-kit, same problem, couldn’t reboot computer.
Is this on a notebook?
Please delete /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Your monitor seems to be connected to the onboard intel gpu. Please disable it in bios and connect the monitor to the nvidia gpu.
hey, I did not disable the bios but my monitor is connected to the gpu via hdmi.
