I’m trying to install Chat with RTX, but when I open the setup, it gets stuck on “extracting…”. I have an RTX 3060 and am running on Windows 10. Does anyone know how to fix it.
Tried to install latest version… failed. I’ve followed every step the help tech told me: uninstalled antivirus, created another account, uninstalled some video drivers… all fails. Tried clean install either on default path and another ssd… nothing pass and all fails… seems installation files are corrupted or something. Shouldn’t be so hard to install. A thousand workarounds to get to same place: failure. Disappointed and for now I’ll just wait for an uptakes version if any. The one I’m tryin says jul/2024. Running RTX 4090, win 11, 64 gb ram, i13900k.
The janpanese link file installed flwalessly… probably the official page one is corrupted.
I keep getting this with ChatRTX jul2024 version, any advice?

There is a new version from Nvidia, ChatWithRTX_Installer_8_25 and it is working fine, I did not face any errors with it.
It’s a shame.
After a multitude of installation attempts I was successful after installing Miniconda, then uninstalling (I know), finally the zip for the installer etc must be downloaded from Nvidia’s website; Cannot be from the Nvidia app. Extract file then run setup as admin, don’t use GPU while installing lol.
well… mine failed because i only had 5gb free on the drive :)
Important: Installation from NVIDIA App will not work. Only the version downloaded from NVIDIA website is installed.
If your installation is interrupted during dependency installation, make sure that you do not have the PYTHONPATH environment variable set. If it is set, temporarily rename this variable or delete it.
Trying to install this in the default directories, yet it’s failing with every attempt. Turning off Windows Defender and Firewall doesn’t seem to help. What do?

Im having the same issue with RTX.02 and .05. been trying for days to get it downloaded. Im hearing crickets though from support and still nothing is working.
I was disabled my antivirus (Avast) during the installation process, and all went well…nice..
I had a similar problem. Your post was right, for me, it was the antivirus. Thanks.
