Installed CUDA 7.5.18 via .deb file, how to update NVIDIA driver to 361.28.

Currently running Ubuntu 14.04.4 x86_64 and have installed CUDA 7.5.18 using ‘cuda-repo-ubuntu1404-7-5-local_7.5-18_amd64.deb’ file. During the installation it installed the NVIDIA video driver, 352.79.

What is the procedure for updating to the new NVIDIA 361.28 video driver, which appears to only be available in a .run file (NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-361.28.run)…???

I’m wondering this myself, and also how Index of /graphics-drivers/ppa/ubuntu plays into the mix of keeping drivers updated.

Currently 361.28 driver is not available in the apt repo yet.
