Intel realsense D435 camera, instalation on Drive PX2, Tegra B | Kernel update error

I am trying to use intel Realsense D435 with NVIDIA PX2 hardware with Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.

The installation of Intel Realsense D435 is done as per the link: https://github.com/IntelRealSense/librealsense/blob/development/doc/installation.md.

As per the Prerequisites, “Important: Running RealSense Depth Cameras on Linux requires patching and inserting modified kernel drivers”

Status on Drive PX2 Tegra: Kernel Version 4.9.80-rt61-tegra

As per the prerequisites: Kernel Version [4,8,10,13,15,16] is required.

I tried to follow the steps mentioned in the above link, but could not proceed

sudo apt-get install --install-recommends linux-generic-lts-xenial xserver-xorg-core-lts-xenial xserver-xorg-lts-xenial xserver-xorg-video-all-lts-xenial xserver-xorg-input-all-lts-xenial libwayland-egl1-mesa-lts-xenial

Need help for installation of Realsense D435 on NVIDIA PX2

Dear RatheeshR,
Note: The Intel Realsense D 435 camera is working with the steps as per the above link, in another system.

Does that mean on another PX2 or another ubuntu machine?

Not on PX2.need help for installing d435 on PX2

Dear RatheeshR,
Could you check with the camera vendor on steps for kernel version. 4.9 as there is no development releases for Drive PX2 and migrating the whole kernel baseline just to enable a camera driver sounds wrong solution

Hello Siva

As per their information “The Realsense DKMS kernel drivers package (librealsense2-dkms) supports Ubuntu LTS kernels 4.4, 4.8, 4.10, 4.13, 4.15 and 4.18”

It would be a great help, if you could guide me for one of the above mentioned versions for PX2.

Waiting for support from NVIDIA
