Is it possible to power on the Orin Nano at a scheduled time if WoL is not supported? Could WoL support be activated in the future?

I see this thread from Feb 2025. Is WoL impossible with the Orin Nano hardware or just not currently supported?
In other words could there be a chance in the future that this will be supported?
my context is how to turn on the board remotely. I would prefer to not run this 24/7, but start at a scheduled time. Is there a recommended workaround like rtcwake?

I will test using the suspend state with rtcwake, but this is obviously not ideal for a number of reasons but notably that the system will be unnecessarily drawing power when not in use.

Is Wake on LAN (WOL) for suspend mode available with v36 on Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit

I tried Wake on LAN from suspend mode on a Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit with a fresh Jetpack 6.2 install, and was not successful. I checked the configuration of the ethernet interface with ethtool, and put the Orin Nano in suspend mode with systemctl suspend.
