Jetson nano development board RTC C5 and rechargeable battery placement

Hi, in Jetson Nano development board, there is C5 (super cap) and battery CR1225 (J45). Do we need both C5 and battery or either one of them for RTC to work. Thanks,

No, either one of them is enough.

Thank you. Can use use regular battery instead of rechargeable battery suggested in other topics. It is due to diode D64 in the middle. No current will flow back to battery to charge. I just want to confirm. Thanks

Yes, that’s why the diode exists.
