Jetson Nano only boots to Shell>

Following the NV_Jetson_Nano_Developer_Kit_User_Guide.pdf
I downloaded Etcher as well as both jetson-nano-jp461-sd-card-image.zip
and jetson-nano-2gb-jp461-sd-card-image.zip
once installed in the nano the device boots to UEFI Shell>
The install guide is less than helpful in this scenario as it indicates that the card or the image are potentially corrupt. I don’t believe this to be the case. Any ideas what to try?

Hi,

Our recommended way is to prepare a native ubuntu and download the bsp and rootfs from Jetson Linux R32.7.1 Release Page | NVIDIA Developer.

And follow the https://docs.nvidia.com/jetson/archives/l4t-archived/l4t-3275/index.html#page/Tegra%20Linux%20Driver%20Package%20Development%20Guide/quick_start.html#wwpID0E0JD0HA steps to manually flash your device.

Also some questions to confirm

  • Is your Jetson Nano a dev kit or a custom board?

Thanks

There is no UEFI on Jetson Nano at all.

Are you sure you are asking this on correct forum? Jetson Nano and Jetson Orin Nano are totally different things.

Ah. I had it wrong. It’s the Orin Nano Dev Kit. Your link looks promising. Thank you!

Thank you. I had it wrong. It’s the Orin Nano.

Hi,

Please use latest JP version like JP5.4 or JP6.2 and cross check whether issue exists.

Thanks

Got it sorted and I’m up and running. Thanks guys! @DavidDDD @WayneWWW
