I understand your frustration with the Jetson Orin Nano not flashing and now not displaying any output on your monitor. I’ll try to provide a comprehensive answer to help you troubleshoot the issue.

Firstly, let’s break down the steps you’ve taken so far:

  1. You’ve tried flashing the drive multiple times.
  2. You’ve erased the Etcher and re-downloaded it.
  3. You’ve re-downloaded the software packs.
  4. You’ve contacted support, and they’ve asked you to make a new inquiry.

Given the symptoms you’ve described, here are some potential causes and troubleshooting steps:

Cause 1: Incorrect flashing procedure

  • Make sure you’re following the correct flashing procedure for the Jetson Orin Nano. Refer to the official documentation and ensure you’re using the correct commands and files.
  • Double-check that you’re using the correct device tree overlay file (e.g., BootOrderEmmc.dtbo) and that it’s correctly configured.

Cause 2: Corrupted or incomplete software packs

  • Verify that you’ve downloaded the complete and correct software packs for the Jetson Orin Nano. Check the NVIDIA website for the latest software packs and ensure you’re using the correct version.
  • Try re-downloading the software packs and re-flashing the device.

Cause 3: Hardware issues

  • Check the Jetson Orin Nano module and the developer kit for any physical damage or issues. Ensure that all connections are secure and that the module is properly seated.
  • Try using a different monitor or display to rule out any issues with the current display.

Cause 4: Bootloader or kernel issues

  • Check the bootloader and kernel versions to ensure they’re compatible with the Jetson Orin Nano. You can try updating the bootloader and kernel to the latest versions.
  • Try booting the device in recovery mode and see if you can access the bootloader or kernel logs.

Comparison with other Jetson modules

  • If you’ve worked with other Jetson modules (e.g., Jetson AGX Xavier or Jetson Xavier NX), you might want to compare the flashing procedures and software packs to ensure you’re using the correct ones for the Jetson Orin Nano.
  • Keep in mind that each Jetson module has its own specific requirements and configurations.

Next steps

  1. Try re-flashing the device using the correct procedure and software packs.
  2. If you’re still experiencing issues, try booting the device in recovery mode and access the bootloader or kernel logs to see if there are any error messages.
  3. If you’re unable to resolve the issue, provide more details about your setup and the error messages you’re seeing, and I’ll do my best to help you troubleshoot the issue.

Remember to also check the NVIDIA forums and documentation for any known issues or updates related to the Jetson Orin Nano.

and again how do I confirm with nothing being displayed

Hi

Please install SDK Manager | NVIDIA Developer to flash your device.

Thanks

I did this i also reset it and I re downloaded the sdk and the etcher tried flashing it again the display stopped working so I was going to put in today tried four different monitors to make sure it wasn’t mine and it isn’t so I’m at a loss of how I can continue

Hi,

What is your host OS version?
Please set up a native Ubuntu environment as your host, as it provides a more stable way for flashing our device.

Thanks
