If you use a VM, then the VM is likely the issue. Otherwise I don’t know; you might try a different port on the host PC, or different USB cable (but I’ve not seen USB-C cables fail, this is usually a topic for the micro-OTC cables).

I’m using an x86 desktop with Ubuntu 20 installed. It used to work fine for flashing, but suddenly it doesn’t. Here’s what I’ve done so far:

  1. Replaced the NX module.
  2. Switched to a different USB cable.
  3. Tried a different port on the host machine.
    Currently, I’m testing by replacing the baseboard.

Some questions to confirm:

  • Is your carrier board a dev kit or a custom board?

Could you flash with the latest JP6.2 to cross check the issue?

It’s really surprising that flashing Jetpack 6.2 works. But why can’t Jetpack 5.1.1 be flashed?

Most likely due to the PCN update.

Old BSP could not directly flash new modules.
