Jetson Tx2 Devkit second display

Hi

We are working for a major event and plan to show it to our global OEM and Tier1 clients

We chose Jetson Tx2 Dev kit as start point, However we realise it has only one Display out via HDMI

We notice there is another display expansion connector but not sure we can use it too. Is there a daighterbaord available ? Kindly advise how to use it. The Engineering team is planning to drop Nvidia as one of the 4 HW SoC platforms if we can’t crack this…

Hi, thanks for choosing TX2. TX2 supports two HDMI displays via DP0 and DP1 ports. But on dev kit, DP0 is used as eDP, and as there are some difference between the design of eDP and HMDI, which you can see in OEM DG, so display expansion connector can not be used for HDMI. However we encourage customer to make his own design to implement custom features than dev kit. You can find the OEM DG, reference schematic/layout and other useful docs in DLC.

IS there a display or card that can connect to eDP / Display port? Some kind off connector may be possible. isn’t it? We are not constrained by HDMI.

Second display we can go with a Display port based monitor.
