Hi,

I am trying to flush the target Jetson TX2 with JetPack 4.2 using SDK Manager and I get the following error:

Ok looks like the host machine needs to have python and not just python3.6. I had Python3.6 installed on the host and expected every thing is ok but it needs the Python.

Correct, Python 2 is required but not tested for. The default install has only Python 3.

Hi bkhondkar,

After install Python, can you flash successfully now?

Hi. I had the same problem.
After I install python2 in the host machine(Ubuntu 18.04), I flashed TX2 successfully.

sudo apt-get install python python-dev

I have some doubts regarding jetpack installation TX2 using SDK manager.
After downloading all the components in sdk, should I just connect to TX2 using usb and start flashing or the TX2 has to be in recovery mode?
P.S. I don’t have switch to connect host and TX2 using ethernet, I am using wifi on both to access internet.

TX2 must be in recovery mode prior to starting. Once flash completes the TX2 will reboot for any additional package install (at which point it will be running normally, though you might need to log in at the TX2 and create an account).

Host can use WiFi for internet. The newer SDKM uses virtual ethernet over the micro-B USB cable for wired networking between host and TX2.
