Hello! I’m looking for information on the specs for the super capacitor or lithium cell that connects to A50. Specifically, in what instances is this needed (since the user guide says it is optional)? What value supercap is recommended? What advantages are there to a supercap over lithium cell or vice versa?
You can choose a super cap/cell based on your design will, like how long you want to keep the time in power off status. The working current of RTC is about 2uA, you can calculate the capacitance of cap/cell needed if you want to implement the RTC design.
