Jetston Orin Nano 8GB DevKit fails to flash with SDKManager

My new Jetson Orin Nano 8Gb DevKit fails to flash using the SDKManager. The following error appears in the terminal tab:

Background:

  • Host: Native Ubuntu 20.04.6, Dell XPS 13
  • Jetson: Jetson Orin Nano 8GB DevKit with SSD installed (Crucial P3 500GB PCIe Gen3 3D NAND NVMe M.2 SSD)
  • lsusb shows appropriate Bus 001 Device 097: ID 0955:7523 NVIDIA Corp. APX when Jetson is in Recovery Mode.
  • Able to boot with SD Card imaged with Balena.
  • I have tried flashing from all of the USB ports on my laptop.

The complete logs from my attempts:

Hi,

this issue has been around for quite a while, and we are still debugging it.
Generally, we’d suggest try a different USB/cable, use Ubuntu 18.04 instead of 20.04, or even a different host PC.
Or give this command a try:

sudo -s
echo -1 > /sys/module/usbcore/parameters/autosuspend

Confirmed that flashing from a Ubuntu (Native) 18.04 machine fixes this issue, and my Orin Board flashes successfully to NVMe.

Thanks for the help.
