Is it safe to run the display selector tool on a Dell Pro Max Tower T2 2250 (128GiB RAM, Ultra 9 285), with Win11 with a RTX 5000 Pro Blackwell and an A400
I want to use the MiG capabilities of the 5000 Pro Blackwell and right now even in TCC mode the option is not available on nvidia-smi
Any help is appreciated
Hi, the question really needs to go to Dell, since its only Dell who can confirm, if a larger BAR1 address range may cause issues with the SystemBIOS of this very workstation…
You won’t damage the GPU, if you gave it a try, but if this larger BAR1 setting wouldn’t work for this system, then you’d have no way back to revert the setting…
You’d have to find a system that DOES support the larger BAR1, revert the setting in that system, to then have the original system detect and initialize the GPU correctly again…
Maybe others in this forum have made some experience with your system…?
